I was fortunate enough to speak at a book club in Marana last week. What fun! The gals asked great questions and I really had to think about the answers. One in particular was especially fun to answer: Why do I write a male protagonist for that series? It's easy. Because in the mariachi I was always surrounded by men, I feel that I know how to understand them. Also, by making Andy a guy, I have to work a little harder at writing him. Obviously, he's not me, but he's the way I might act if I were a guy!

"We all must agree that we had a wonderful meeting at Marge's home last week.  Thanks to Liana we were honored to have a very special guest join us at our meeting. The author, Ms. D. R. Ransdell spoke to us about her books and she serenaded us as well with her violin.   We learned that the sequel to " Mariachi Murder" called "Island Casualty" will be launched from her home on Sunday, May 25 and we are all invited to join in the merriment."

Actually, I was quite worried that I was out of tune!
