My latest publication is "The Secret Lives of the Pink House Cats" (Oct. 2008, Outskirts Press.) It's a collection of poems from the points of view of Bandit, Cosmo, Phantom, Ping, and Mei Mei. The cats detail their philosophies on catching grasshoppers, rearranging the house, and playing tricks on me--and that's despite all those cans of cat food I've paid for!

When I moved to Tucson, I started playing in a mariachi band. It's a lot of fun! But most of the lyrics are written by men. The songs either extol the characteristics of a certain region, such as "El corrido de Mazatlan" or, more commonly, they complain about women! I finally decided it was time to set the record straight, so I wrote and recorded a set of original songs. The CD title is "Diana canta la venganza," or "Diane Sings Revenge."
"Amirosian Nights" is a novel about music, language learning, romance, and life on an idyllic Greek island. The island of Amiros is loosely based on the real Dodecanese island of Kalymnos, a hidden jewel with surprisingly few visitors. The novel is somewhat autobiographical, but I'm not saying which parts are fiction and which aren't!
